I need this because I use virtual machine for everything these days through Fusion on my MacBook Pro. It works fine and is fast. Unplugging the connected device sometimes causes you to unplug the card. Just be aware if you’ve never used USB 3.

This device worked great for me when used with Mobdin’s patched LaCie driver to enable use on non-LaCie drives. The connector is secure but very tight.
